Transition Complete: One Day Nap Routine

We (their parents and their teachers are kindy) started transitioning Charlotte and Daniel onto one day nap from 19th July because they showed signs which prompted us to support them through this preference / development.

They are early to bed and rise, averaging 11 hours of bedtime, their one day nap also takes places rather early. Here's a routine that we've been following for the last 4 weeks and hope it won't change on us anytime soon, except I wouldn't mind them sleeping in for an extra hour in the morning. Here goes:

5:30am - 6:00am
They wake up. Nappies are changed. Cuddles in bed with us.

They sit in their rockers and watch an episode of 'Baby Einstein' while their drinking their morning milk

They finish their milk, walking around the home and amusing themselves generally

Breakfast for them

Clean up, I take a shower while dad looks after them

Nappies get changed again (usually #2 occurs after breakfast) and they are changed into their day clothes.

I pack an insulated bag filled with morning tea snacks, sippy cups with water and bibs. Ensure that my nappy bag is packed and ready for action.

We leave home for the park or local shopping centre.
