Our kids are awake anytime from 5:30am (bearing in mind that they go to bed at 6:30pm, that equates to 11 hours of non-stop very decent sleep for them. Yes, we have tried putting them to bed later ONCE and it was not good - they were very grumpy and it was just awful for all) and therefore, it comes as no surprise that we have breakfast together as a family at 6:30am.
On this particular weekend day, after our breakfasts at home - we got changed - tidied our home - washed the car, we decided to checkout Jimbo & Co. A café that has been opened for a few years that I know is superb because I know the owner (who used to own the café next to my office building and sold it to the current proprietor).
The time was 8:20am when we left home and Jimbo & Co did not disappoint. It sure lives up to its reputation in my mind.
Located across the road from the Wynnum Manly Leagues club on 99 Wondall Road in Wynnum. Jimbo & Co takes up 2 shop fronts - one half is devoted to serving beverages and the other half is the kitchen and dinning area. It has a very cosy and friendly feel, the staff are very helpful and the service is super duper quick! Oh yes, allow me to also add that my mug of skinny flat white was puuurrrfect too!
The multitude of sitting options enabled customers like myself with a family of 4 to pick & choose, which is fantastic. Granted, we were there by 8:30am so there were still a few choices.
The meals and coffees came out so quickly, we barely had time to start on our colouring "project" with the kids. The husband had the man-ly breakfast (with everything): WOW! I had the 3 cheese savoury muffin: WOW! The kids? They kept asking for more BACON off daddy's plate!
Parking is FREE and there is plenty of that.
We will certainly be back to Jimbo & Co for more coffees and meals!
